Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis

Jamie Lee Curtis is known as one of the movie industry's most well known "Scream Queens" and has rightly earned the nickname "The Body". Born November 22, 1958 in Los Angeles, she is the daughter of screen legends Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. Her first role was an uncredited one in the T.V. movie Columbo: Forgotten Lady but she earned her first big break when she starred in the cult classic Halloween as Laurie Strode.  She has been quoted as saying horror films terrify her and she prefers not to watch them, even though she's been in such well-known horror movies as Virus, Terror Train, Prom Night (one of our personal faves), and John Carpenter's The Fog.

She has been nominated for numerous awards, including winning two Golden Globe awards: one for True Lies and the other for Anything But Love. In September 1998 she received a star on the Walk of Fame. Her 1998 book, Today I Feel Silly and Other Moods That Make My Day, made the best-seller list in The New York Times. She is married to actor Christopher Guest (Lord Haden-Guest) and, as the wife of a lord, is titled Lady Haden-Guest, but she chooses not to use the title when in the United States. She is currently the spokeswoman for Activia. She is also a blogger for The Huffington Post online newspaper.
